Jerry from Western Equality who has so graciously invited NAMI Western Slope, Western Colorado Suicide Prevention Foundation, and Suicide Anonymous to hold meetings, training, and classes on site.
Since my daughter died I have found that people in marginalized groups tend to open their doors wider to suffering people than other people. In my grief I have become more drawn to people on the fringes of society than I was before. Their hearts seem to be bigger and they are less afraid of reaching out. They seem to consider the need first and the commitment second. I love them.
